Effective date: 2026-04-11
This Privacy Policy applies to the SmartCut Pro mobile application created by yazilimk (“SmartCut Pro,” the “Application,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). SmartCut Pro is a local-first mobile application offered as an ad-supported service with optional paid subscriptions. The Application is provided on an “AS IS” basis.
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use SmartCut Pro, how user choices are handled, which third-party services are involved, and what controls are available to you.
For related terms governing use of the Application, please also review our Terms of Use.
1. Local-First Architecture
SmartCut Pro is designed as a local-first application. Your project data, including cutting lists, part names, measurements, layouts, inventory entries, trim values, kerf values, and similar project content, is stored locally on your device using on-device storage and an internal database.
We do not operate a cloud sync service for your project content as part of the core functionality of SmartCut Pro, and we do not upload your project content to our own servers for ordinary use of the Application.
Because SmartCut Pro depends on device-local storage for project content, you are responsible for maintaining any backups you wish to keep. If your device is lost, reset, damaged, or uninstalled, we may not be able to recover your local project data for you.
Your device or operating system may offer backup or device-transfer features. Depending on your device settings and platform behavior, saved projects and certain application preferences may be restored through those mechanisms. However, usage limits, rewarded credits, offline Pro grace periods, and in-app review timing may remain device-specific and may not transfer or restore in the same way.
2. Information We May Process
We generally do not require you to create an account or provide direct personal profile information in order to use the core features of SmartCut Pro.
Depending on your choices, your platform, and how you use the Application, information that may be processed can include:
- device and app information such as device model, operating system, app version, and language settings;
- subscription, entitlement, offering, and purchase-status information needed to manage premium access;
- advertising and consent-related information required to determine whether ads may be requested and how ad-related choices should be handled;
- optional analytics events and parameters, if you enable usage analytics;
- optional crash and diagnostics data, if you enable crash reporting;
- support communications you voluntarily send to us by email;
- limited network request data associated with developer-hosted remote content, such as cross-promotion content loaded in the settings area.
The Application does not gather precise location information from your mobile device.
3. Your Privacy Choices
Advertising and measurement choices are handled through Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP), using Google’s in-app consent form where applicable. Usage analytics (Firebase Analytics) and crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics) are separate controls. You can enable or disable them independently under Settings → Telemetry & data in the Application. These controls are not replaced by, and do not replace, the advertising consent form. The UMP form does not turn product analytics or crash reporting on or off.
In practice, different controls are used for different purposes:
- Google UMP / Privacy Options: manages advertising-related consent choices, including ad storage, ad-related data handling, and ad personalization choices as presented by Google’s consent flow.
- Settings → Telemetry & data: lets you control usage analytics and crash reporting separately.
4. Firebase Analytics (Usage Analytics)
SmartCut Pro may use Firebase Analytics to understand feature usage, product flows, paywall and subscription funnel performance, optimization behavior, Remote Config interaction outcomes, and consent-flow health signals.
Usage analytics is optional. Collection occurs only when you have enabled usage analytics in Settings → Telemetry & data. When disabled, the Application is intended not to collect Firebase Analytics data for that purpose and not to use analytics storage for that purpose, as controlled by the implementation.
Analytics-related data may include pseudonymous identifiers and event parameters such as app instance identifiers, event names, session-level product telemetry, part counts, optimization duration buckets, paywall variant keys, offer and package metadata, purchase or restore funnel outcomes, consent errors, Remote Config fetch outcomes, and similar operational or product telemetry.
This telemetry is intended to be non-content telemetry. It is not intended to include your cutting project content as files uploaded to our servers for routine app usage.
5. Firebase Crashlytics (Crash Reporting)
SmartCut Pro may use Firebase Crashlytics for crash and stability diagnostics so that we can identify, investigate, and fix application defects.
Crash reporting is optional. It is enabled only when you turn on crash reporting in Settings → Telemetry & data. When disabled, crash collection is intended to remain off as controlled by the Application.
Crash-related diagnostics may include crash traces, exception details, device and operating system context, app version information, and limited custom diagnostic keys relevant to the error being investigated.
6. Advertising, AdMob, and Consent Management
SmartCut Pro may display advertising through Google Mobile Ads / AdMob. Depending on your region, applicable law, and your choices in the Google consent flow, the Application may display personalized or non-personalized ads, or may refrain from requesting ads.
Advertising-related consent is managed through Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) and any required Privacy Options entry points made available in the Application. The Telemetry & data switches do not control ad personalization or ad-related storage consent.
Advertising-related identifiers and ad-related information may be processed according to Google’s policies, platform rules, and your consent choices.
7. Purchases and Subscriptions
SmartCut Pro offers optional paid subscriptions or one-time premium purchase flows. Purchase processing is handled through the relevant app store and billing infrastructure, and subscription entitlement management is supported through RevenueCat.
We do not collect or store your full payment card details ourselves. Payment transactions are processed by the applicable app store or payment provider. We may receive limited purchase-related information such as product identifiers, entitlement status, offering information, purchase state, restore state, transaction status, and related metadata needed to provide premium access, restore purchases, handle support, detect abuse, and maintain business records.
8. Remote Configuration
SmartCut Pro may use Firebase Remote Config to download configuration values used to control application behavior such as paywall layout variants, paywall copy variants, selected limits, timing values, staged rollout parameters, and similar product configuration settings.
Remote configuration is used for product operation and tuning. It is separate from the Telemetry & data switches, although certain analytics events about Remote Config behavior are only recorded when optional usage analytics is enabled.
9. Developer-Hosted Remote Content
In some parts of the Application, such as settings or cross-promotion surfaces, SmartCut Pro may request developer-hosted remote content, including app metadata, promotional text, or remote icon URLs made available from yazilimk-controlled endpoints.
This content is not your personal project content. However, loading such content may involve ordinary network requests, temporary caching, and processing by the device, operating system, internet service providers, hosting providers, or content delivery services involved in serving that content.
10. Exported Files and Sharing
SmartCut Pro may generate PDF reports or similar exported files on your device. If you choose to export, open, share, print, email, upload, or store such files outside the Application, those files may then be handled by the destination app, storage provider, sharing target, printer service, or platform feature that you select.
Your use of third-party destinations for exported files is governed by the privacy terms and practices of those destinations.
11. Support Communications
If you voluntarily contact us for support, we may receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use that information only to respond to your request, provide support, maintain business records, or comply with legal obligations.
12. Third-Party Services
The Application uses or relies on third-party services that may process information in accordance with their own terms and privacy documentation. Relevant providers may include:
- Google Firebase (including Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Remote Config)
- Google Mobile Ads / AdMob
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)
- RevenueCat
- Google Play Billing / Google Payments
- Google Play Services
- yazilimk developer-hosted services for limited remote content such as cross-promotion metadata or related assets
Processing performed by these services is governed by their own privacy notices, terms, and contractual arrangements.
13. Disclosure of Information
We may disclose information processed through the Application or through service providers:
- as required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request;
- to protect our rights, security, users, or property, or the rights, security, users, or property of others;
- to investigate fraud, abuse, technical incidents, or violations of applicable terms;
- to service providers acting on our behalf within the scope necessary to provide their services;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, asset sale, reorganization, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.
14. Data Retention, Deletion, and Recovery
Local project data remains on your device unless you delete it, clear application data, uninstall the Application, or remove device or cloud backups under your control.
Because we do not ordinarily have access to your locally stored project content, we generally cannot delete, recover, or restore that local project content for you.
Support emails and related business records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, provide support, protect our legal interests, maintain records, or comply with legal obligations.
Information processed by third-party services such as Firebase, RevenueCat, Google Play Billing, Google Mobile Ads, or other providers may be retained according to those providers’ own policies, retention periods, and legal obligations.
15. Opt-Out and Controls
You can manage your available privacy choices in several ways:
- you can review advertising-related choices through Google’s consent flow and any available Privacy Options entry points;
- you can enable or disable optional usage analytics and crash reporting in Settings → Telemetry & data;
- you can delete local project data inside the Application or by clearing app data or uninstalling the Application;
- you can stop future use of the Application by uninstalling it through your device or app marketplace.
Uninstalling the Application does not necessarily remove information already processed by app stores, payment providers, analytics providers, crash providers, advertisers, hosting providers, or support systems, each of which may retain records under their own policies and legal duties.
16. Children’s Privacy
SmartCut Pro is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the Application.
Because the Application uses advertising, billing, analytics, diagnostics, and similar third-party services, device-related or service-related information may be processed by those providers under their own policies when the Application is used.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us directly, please contact us so that we can take appropriate steps.
17. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures for systems and services that we control. However, no method of electronic storage, transmission, or device protection is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-party services used by the Application operate under their own security and privacy practices.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date shown on this page and may provide additional notice where required by applicable law or where we consider it appropriate.
Your continued use of the Application after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that the updated policy will apply to future use of the Application to the extent permitted by law.
